Purdie Baumann - August 1st-5th,

Purdie
Baumann is a proud Rockette at Radio City
Music Hall. Ms. Baumann grew up dancing at
her mother and father’s dance and tumbling
studio in Maywood, IL. She attended high
school at the Chicago Academy for the Arts.
She then majored in Ballet at the North
Carolina school of the Arts. Purdie moved
to NYC to study and ended up out at sea
dancing on a cruise ship. Miss Baumann fell
in love with the bass player on the ship and
moved back to NYC with him and became a NYC
Rockette. Purdie performs seasonally in the
Christmas Show at Radio City as well as
sings and dances in musicals regionally.
Her favorite shows include: The Christmas
Spectacular, Anything Goes, Cabaret,
Carousel, Gypsy, Guys and Dolls, Fosse and A
Chorus Line.

Miss Puride will be seen as a featured

Abdur Rahim-Jackson received his BFA from
The Julliard School. During his studies he
received scholarships from the Freedom
Theatre, Philadanco, Dance Theatre of
Harlem, Boston Ballet, and The Ailey
School. Mr. Jackon received a Marion D.
Cuyjet Award and in 2003, was featured in
the PBS “American Masters” documentary on
Julliard. He danced with Ailey II in 2000
and since 2001, joined the prestigious Alvin
Ailey Dance Theatre. He was also chosen in
2005 to choreograph a piece Alvin Ailey
Dance Theatre. His choreography has been
seen internationally, at Fordham University,
and other schools. American Dance Academy
is thrilled to have him as our guest
choreographer & master teacher.

Olivia
Bowman |

Miss Bowman graduated from LaGuardia High
School, otherwise known as “The Fame
School.” She attended North Carolina School
of the Arts on scholarship & attended the
Ailey School as a Fellowship student. Miss
Bowman was a member of Donald Byrd/The
Group, and Complexions before joining Alvin
Ailey Dance Theatre in 2001. American Dance
Academy is honored to have her as a guest
faculty member.

Jaimie Goodwin - September 7th,

Jaimie Goodwin appeared as a top 20 finalist
on the third season of the Fox reality
television series So You Think You Can
Dance. Nicknamed “Jaims,” she says that
she started dancing at the age of seven. She
trained in different styles such as tap,
ballet and jazz for 12 years, and then
studied musical theater, pointe and
contemporary lyrical dance for seven more
years. Jaimie classifies her style and
techniques as either jazz or contemporary
lyrical dance. One of her inspirations is
her mother, who was also a writer, and
Jaimie intends to write a book eventually
about her mother’s struggle with cancer. Jaimie
has performed in numerous musical theater
productions and public functions, among them
a benefit event in
London,
England for the
group Dancers Responding to AIDS. You can

John Corsa,
a native of Boulder, CO, started his dance
training at the age of 17. While in high
school he co-founded The New Vista
Dance Co.
He later attended The
University of the Arts on a
scholarship from 2000 to 2002. John has had
the privilege to study and work with
Ruth Andrien, Betty Jones, Kenneth Tosti,
Brian Sanders, Andrew Pap, Pat
Thomas, Jana Hicks, Michelle Jones Wurtz,
Gerri Houlihan and Twyla Tharp
to name a few. Mr. Corsa has performed
reconstructions of Paul Taylor’s
“Airs” and Esplanade,
Mark Morris’ Grand Duo and
V, Jose Limon’s
Choreographic Offerings and
There is a Time. He
has danced with The Open Door Dance
Theater, Schuylkill Valley
Regional Dance Company,
Contempra Dance Theater,
Momix, Diavolo Dance Theater, and
the Broadway Musical Movin Out.
He has toured world wide as well as taught
internationally. Mr. Corsa has assisted
choreography for Moses Pendleton,
and Jacque Hiem, set
choreographic works for Contempra Dance
Theater, Schuylkill Valley Regional Dance
Company, and The New Vista Dance Co.

Devin Pullins began his professional dance
training at the age of 16 in Chicago,
Illinois where he was accepted to the
Chicago Academy for the Arts. While there he
studied ballet, jazz, modern, pas de deux,
as well as many other styles. While at the
Chicago Academy for the Arts, he also
studied with Lois Baumann and Heidi Renteria
at Stairway of the Stars studying jazz,
ballet, tap, hip-hop and competed around the
U.S. in several dance competitions. Upon
Graduation he enrolled at the prestigious
S.U.N.Y Purchase Dance Conservatory in NY.
While there he studied with many well-known
teachers from around the world and joined
the Purchase Dance Corp. During his time at
S.U.N.Y Purchase he performed works by
George Balanchine, Merce Cunningham, Kevin
Wynn, and many others. After receiving his
BFA in Dance, he joined Donald Byrd/ The
Group Dance Company and toured around the
world for 3 years. He has also worked with
The Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, R&B group
Destiny’s Child, Day 26, Danity Kane,
Aaliyah, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams,
Tristan, Elisa Monte, River North Dance
Chicago, Diddy-Dirty Money, Dance Theater of
Harlem Ensemble, Nina Buisson Contemporary
Moves, Rhapsody James, E-Moves, Christina
Aguilera, Peridance Company, Millennium
Dance Company, Vortex Dance Moscow, North
Shore Dance, and most recently with R&B
singer Brandy on her last critically
acclaimed album Human. In 2006, he won an
MTV music award for best dance video in
Russia for an artist he worked with (Sasha).
He has also been resident choreographer and
rehearsal director for Millennium Dance
Company in NYC for 2 seasons 2007-2009.
He has also
choreographed for several international T.V.
shows including “So You Think You Can Dance”
Israel and Dubai and several international
commercials. His film credits include the
2003 film “Stuck On You” for which he worked
with Merle Stripe as her dance coach and
consultant, and the 2009 film “Fame” also as
a consultant. Recently he has worked on the
much anticipated 2010 film release
“Burlesque” starring Cher, Christina
Aguilera, Alan Cummings, Eric Dane, & Peter
Gallagher as a dance coach and consultant.
Mr. Pullins has taught at several different
workshops around the world in cities such as
Paris (France), Milan (Italy), Chelaybinsk
(Russia), Rostov-On-Don (Russia), Buenos
Aries (Argentina), Bermuda, Hawaii, Dubai,
and many other cities in North America and
Abroad. Currently Devin is on the dance
faculty at Hofstra University in the dance
department where he teaches and choreographs
on the dance department, as well as
traveling as a freelance artist teaching
master classes in Hip-Hop, Jazz, &
Contemporary at workshops in NYC and abroad.
He also works in artist development at BAD
BOY ENTERTAINMENT. Currently he is working
with several artists as choreographer and
working on some musical and film/television
productions.

Camille A.
Brown (Dancer, Choreographer) attended
Bernice Johnson's Cultural Arts School,
Carolyn Devore Dance Studios, LaGuardia High
School of the Performing Arts, and The Ailey
School. She received her B.F.A. in Dance
from The North Carolina School of the Arts.
Most recently, she was a member of Ronald K.
Brown/Evidence (2001-2007) where she had the
opportunity to perform the lead role of
‘Mother God’ in Brown’s critically acclaimed
work,
Grace.
She is also a featured dancer in BET Jazz’
documentary on Blueprint of A Lady- a
collaboration with Brown and Grammy
nominated Jazz vocalist Nnenna Freelon. Ms.
Brown has also performed works by Dianne
McIntyre, Roger C. Jeffrey, Nathan Trice,
Bridget L. Moore, Matthew Rushing and Rennie
Harris.She was also a guest performer for
The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in
her work (The Groove To Nobody's Business)
during their 50th anniversary season at City
Center, Dallas Black Dance Theater's Spring
Concert (o9), The Princess Grace Awards Gala
(o9), and Broadway Cares (o7) with the cast
of The Color Purple- choreographed by
Darrell Grand Moultrie.
Ms. Brown
has been honored with awards and fellowships
that include a 2006 Princess Grace Award in
Choreography (the first woman to be given
this award), a New York Foundation for the
Arts Fellowship in Choreography , The
Presidential Scholar of the Arts Award in
Dance, NFAA Young Artists’ Award, The Helen
Tamiris Award, and The Project Next
Generation Award. She has been featured in
Dance Magazine, Dance Spirit, Marie Claire,
Gestures Magazine (China), Expressions
Magazine (Italy, Sisterhood Agenda Magazine,
and The Joyce Theater's 25th Anniversary
Magazine. Ms. Brown has received commissions
from Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater,
Hubbard Street II, Urban Bush Women, Ailey
II, Ballet Memphis, and Philadanco. Her work
has been showcased at Sadler's Wells
(London, England), The Apollo, The Joyce
Theater, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Joyce
SoHo, Central Park's Summerstage, Dance
Theater Workshop, Symphony Space, Dancenow
Festival, New York Fall for Dance
Festival
(City Center), Danceplace (D.C.) and This
Woman’s Work at Aaron Davis Hall (which
resulted in her being noted in Dance
Magazine’s “25 to Watch” article). In Jan
2009, her ensemble performed in Dancing From
The Heart- the annual benefit produced by
Dancer's Responding To AIDS. She also
choreographed a duet for Karine Plantadit
and Danny Tidwell for The Youth American
Grand Prix Gala (City Center).
Future
commissions include new works for Dallas
Black Dance Theater and Evolve Dance
Company. Ms. Brown has served as Adjunct
Professor of Dance at Long Island University
and Barnard College and has created works
for Tisch School of the Arts, Princeton
University, Hunter College, The University
of The North Carolina School of the Arts,
and The Ailey School. She has done National
residences for the New Orleans Dance
Festival, Philadanco's Summer Intensive,
Perry-Mansfield New Works Festival, Earl
Mosely's Institute of the Arts, Cleo Parker
Robinson Dance's Summer Intensive, The
University of Wisconsin (Milwaukee), Howard
University, and Georgetown University.
Internationally, she has conducted
residencies in Italy and Tokyo, Japan.
In 2008, Ms.
Brown choreographed dance segments for
Saverio Palatella's show (Wholegarment 3D)
during New York Fashion Week.
Ms. Brown
firmly believes that artists should put
their creativity into action. During her
season at Joyce SoHo (June 2009). She raised
money for Uptown Music Theatre (New Orleans,
La) and continues to support organizations
around the country
Spirituality
is a guiding force in Ms. Brown’s life and
work. Her faith in God and love of
choreography are evident in her desire to
give back to her community through volunteer
work as a dance specialist. She has worked
for Creedmore Psychiatric Center, Columbia
University, and the Derek Jeter Foundation’s
Turn2Us program.
Ms. Brown is
currently preparing for her shared season at
The Joyce Theater with Andrea Miller, Kate
Weare, and Monica Bill Barnes in August

Will trained at S.U.N.Y.
Purchase, The Julliard School, Ecole Prof.
Janine Stanlowa, in Paris, and the France
Studio Harmonic, in Paris. He
trained at all of these schools on dance
scholarships. He was most recently a
featured artist and soloist for Alvin Ailey
American Dance Theatre. He has
choreographed for Alvin Ailey and Sanctuary
and appeared in the movie “Ever After”
with Drew Barrymore, Agnjelica Huston,
Dougray Scott.

Born in Quincy, MA and raised
in Sardinia, OH, Kate attended North
Carolina School of the Arts, receiving her
BFA in 2002. While working with the Merce
Cunningham Repertory Understudy Group, she
had the opportunity to work with Mr.
Cunningham during his creation of ‘Split
Sides’ and ‘Views on Stage.’ In 2005, Kate
joined Shen Wei Dance Arts and was involved
in the creation process of ‘MAP,’ ‘REpart 1
and 3.’ As a company member, teacher,
rehearsal director and teaching artist, she
has conducted master classes at various
venues and performed all over Europe, Asia,
Australia and the U.S. Her own works have
been performed at DeSales
University, Ur, Bushwick Star, the United
Nations, Milan and the Fabbrica Europa
festival. Named Director of Education and
Outreach for Shen Wei Dance Arts in 2008,
she created a dance education program for
New York City Schools, while also working on
various company outreach activities. Kate
has been Rehearsal Director for Shen Wei
Dance Arts since January 2009. |

Braham Logan Crane - July 27th,

Braham Logan
Crane. In his work as a choreographer,
Braham has set works on distinguished
dancers from
American Ballet
Theater,
Bolshoi
Ballet and
Pennsylvania
Ballet,
as well as collaborating with recording
artist and Broadway star,
Angela Ai.
Braham choreographed and performed at the
Sziget Festival in Budapest,
Hungary. He has set original versions of
Altar Boyz
and Cats
at the Roxy Regional Theatre in Tennessee.
Recent commissions include works for
Bad Boys of
Dance, starring and directed by Rasta
Thomas and
Houston Metropolitan Dance Company.
As a teaching professional, Braham has
served on the faculty of many renowned dance
schools and conventions including
Virginia
School of the Arts,
Koresh Dance
Center,
Broadway
Dance Center and
Steps on
Broadway.
Included in Braham Logan Crane's diverse
concert and stage work is the critically
acclaimed Philadelphia based dance company,
ASH
Contemporary
Dance (Artists. Simply. Human.).
Braham served as founder, artistic director,
as well as choreographer for company pieces
along with Mia Michaels. ASH Contemporary
Dance has toured throughout the United
States in addition to Canadian and European
tours.
Braham Logan Crane has won prestigious
awards and received unique honors for his
work. Braham became the youngest
choreographer to win the
Gold
Leo's Award
for excellence in jazz choreography at the
Jazz Dance World Congress in Buffalo, NY.
He was also awarded the silver medal at the
Festival Des Arts De Saint-Sauveur

Darrell Grand Moultrie

Darrell Grand
Moultrie was most recently seen on Broadway
in the new hit musical Billy Elliot
(original cast) This Juilliard graduate is
emerging as one of America's very diverse
and much sought after choreographers and
master teachers. The NEW YORK TIMES WROTE”
MOULTRIE MOVES HIS DANCERS AROUND THE STAGE
WITH REMARKABLE AUTHORITY……[and]IS OBVIOUSLY
SOMEONE TO WATCH.” He has carved out a
career that weaves him from the broadway
stage, to the ballet studio, and beyond. As
a performer, Mr. Moultrie was seen in West
Side Story in Milan, Italy, at the world
famous La Scala Opera House, and was apart
of the original workshops of the Public
Theatre’s Radiant Baby directed by George C.
Wolfe and choreographed by Fatima Robinson,
Sweet Charity and The Color Purple. He was
seen on Broadway in the smash hits Hairspray
The Musical with Harvey Fierstein, and AIDA
where he understudied the role of Mereb
performing opposite Toni Braxton. In 2006
Darrell was the youngest judge on the panel
for the MISS AMERICA PAGEANT in Las Vegas.
Darrell has created multiple works for The
Juilliard School, Ailey2, Cincinnati Ballet,
Colorado Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, BalletMet
Columbus and has also been commissioned by
Atlanta Ballet, North Carolina Dance
Theatre, Sacramento Ballet, and Dance
Theatre of Harlem. Darrell is a recipient of
a 2007 Princess Grace Choreography
Fellowship Award . Darrell has coached many
young dancers who have gone on to dance in
Broadway Musicals, major contemporary and
ballet companies, and perform with top
recording artists like Beyonce and Usher.
His work has been performed at such venues
as The Joyce Theater, Avery Fisher Hall,
Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, The Holland
Dance Festival, and the Metropolitan Museum
of Art in NYC.
Darrell has
choreographed and taught at many prestigious
institutions across the United States
including the Juilliard School, the Ailey
School, Dance Theatre of Harlem, and
Stanford University who commissioned him to
travel to South Africa to set work on the
Dance for All Ballet Company in CapeTown.
Darrell is a
proud New Yorker, Born and Raised in
Harlem.

Chris Hale,
currently on faculty at Broadway Dance
Center NYC, is Associate Director of
:pushing progress and Director of the
:pushingprogress contemporary training
program, which launched in the fall of 2009.
Through his work with :pushing progress
Chris and his partner Calen J. Kurka are at
the helm of a revolution in the way we train
in dance. Through incorporating
anatomy and varied methodologies for
sustainability and injury prevention they
hope to bring a sophisticated level of
information into the lives of every dancer
who has the drive and passion to grow as an
artist. Professional credits include KTU's
miracle on 34th Street where he performed
with such recording artists as Mary J. Blige,
Deborah Cox, Tamia, Gloria Gaynor, and
Michael Jackson. In 2002 he got the pleasure
of performing with international singing
sensation Anastasia at the FIFA World Cup
Final Draw in Busan, Korea. Television
credits include HBO's "Sex and the City"
playing opposite Kim Catrall. He along with
fellow instructor Calen Kurka, released an
instructional video for the Live At BDC
series entitled, “Floorwork, with Calen
Kurka and Chris Hale”.
In the summer
of 2004 he debuted a collection of never
before seen works entitled “CollidE (with
me) at Brooklyn’s Williamsburg Art Nexus
“WAX” in three evenings of sold out
performances. Since then his work has
appeared throughout New York in
choreographer’s showcases such as “The
Turning Point” at NYC’s Puffin Room, and
“Envision This” by Enfocus Dance. Most
recently his work has appeared in the
:pushing progress “Showcase Series” started
by Calen J. Kurka as a means to bring a wide
range of choreographer’s together in the
shared vision of creating a memorable dance
experience. As a choreographer he will
continue to create work that pushes the
boundaries of contemporary dance and
hopefully bring it to the mainstream in a
way that is accessible to everyone.
His more
than two years experience with the GYROTONIC®
methodology has hugely influenced his
teaching and brought a heightened awareness
to his own dancing. Chris is very excited to
add GYROKINESIS® to his teaching. Chris is
an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has
successfully completed the ABT® Teacher
Training Intensive in Primary through level
3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. |

Billy Griffin - September 23rd, 2011 |

Billy resides in New York
City where he graduated with a BFA from New
York University's prestigious Tisch School
of the Arts. Most recently he traveled the
country with the National Tour of "The New
Mel Brooks' Musical Young Frankenstein".
Other performing credits include the
National Tour of "Irving Berlin's White
Christmas" under the direction of Tony Award
Winner Walter Bobbie, the National Tour of
Jeff Amsden's "A Few Good Men Dancin'", the
Elan Awards honoring Susan Stroman, the T.V.
show "The Electric Company" on PBS, the
soon-to-be released film "Clear Blue
Tuesday" and numerous industrials, regional
productions and benefits where he has danced
alongside the likes of Spike Lee, Debra
Messing, Jerry Seinfeld and Martin Scorcese.
NYC choreography credits include productions
of "Side Show", "Cabaret," "Bat Boy the
Musical," and "Reefer Madness". He had the
opportunity to choreograph the first
workshop of "Mrs. Sharp" which most recently
starred the Emmy Nominated Jane Krakowski
from the hit T.V. show "30 Rock". For the
past 7 years Billy has served as the
choreographer of the Miss CT Pageant for the
Miss America Organization. Check out

"Dance On Broadway" for Nintendo Wii,
performing choreography by "Spiderman: Turn
Off The Dark" choreographer Chase Brock.
This summer Billy worked with "In the
Heights" choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler
on the early stages of acollaboration
between Andy and singer/songwriter Kate
Nash, entitled "Only Gold." Come December
Billy will be joining the cast of the
National Tour of Mary Poppins The Musical. |

Anthony LoCoscio

Anthony Lo Cascio
has been associated, for over 7 years with
the Broadway show Tap Dogs.
As recent as Nov. 2004, he was on tour with
the new version of Tap Dogs nicely named,
Tap Dogs: ReBooted. He has played
two different roles and performed the show
over 1000 times. He started at the Union
Square Theatre in New York City, and
performed there for over 4 months. Anthony
has also performed in Monte Carlo at the
Sporting Club and opened shows for people
such as Natalie Cole, Earth Wind and
Fire, and Stevie Wonder.
His TV credits include MTV LIVE,
Live with Regis and Kathy Lee, and
MACY'S Fourth of July Spectacular
plus local news programs all across the
nation. Currently, Anthony is on the faculty
of PDTA, Hoctor's Dance Caravan, and is a
Guest teacher at many studios, Conventions
and Festivals all across North America. In
Feb. 2005, Anthony was featured in a
"Dance Teacher Magazine" article as
well as having his own work published in the
April, 2005 edition of "On Tap
International.” |

Lauren Adams |
 |
Lauren was featured in the
original musical Falco in Vienna
Austria. She was also a member of IV
Dance Company, and Jason Parsons’
Parsons Dance Project, with which she
performed in The New York/Seoul
International Dance Festival in
Korea. Most recently she performed at the
Festival Des Arts in Montreal with
ASH Contemporary Dance Company. Her
choreography has been showcased in
Terpsichoreal in Los Angeles, as well as
in festivals in Prague, Czech Republic, and
Tropea, Italy. Her work has also been
presented at the 2004 Jazz Dance World
Congress, as well as The 25th
Anniversary Gala of the Jackson
International Ballet Competition. In
NYC, she has been a contributing
Choreographer for Broadway Underground,
Pushing Progress and several DRA events
including: Fire Island Dance Festival, and
Dancing at the Crossroads. Lauren was also
the founding Senior Music Editor of
movmnt magazine. She conceived,
choreographed, and produced the show
Moving Still, presented at the Harry De
Jur Playhouse in NYC. A photography book of
the same name was inspired by the show, and
published by e-maprod shortly
